Finally seeing some stock arriving from Panasonic....

I just received word that I can pay and pre-order my GH2. Stock is arriving next week from Japan. I am not sure what Panny's problem is but to spend two months trying to buy a camera is crazy, especially in this economy.
Anyway there is hope for everyone waiting.

B&H sent out an email saying the GH2 can be pre-ordered here in the USA.

It looks like the batteries are available, too. This site says they're back ordered, but I ordered a couple of days ago and received it today.

I've not bought from videodirect before. Can anyone vouch for them?

Never mind, found one at Adorama

Bhphoto GH2 order arrived last week. The camera is awesome, and FCP imports 24p straight in. No need for Voltaic or whatever to strip frames.

My card was charged by B&H this week and I thought great! But I spoke to them yesterday and was told they are getting a delivery in three weeks. So I had to cancel as I want to take this on a shoot to China early March. By chance I spoke to Abel Cine and they are shipping one out today!

Jon, I will have my camera on Saturday thanks to you! Able Cine Tech had 5 this morning. I know now they have no more than three left, as of 10am two (including my one) were already spoken for.

I don't know if I've ever been as excited about a new camera. The tough part will be learning. I'm particularly interested in learning how to adjust exposure and ISO on the fly, going from auto focus to manual on the fly (I don't think that can be done with this camera though), etc.

I got the 14-140mm lens, and wish I had gotten the other, but the pancake will take up a lot of slack, when I can get it.
