Our first outing with the GH2 - Richmond in springtime
Well, Monday was the first time I got to use our GH2 after owning it for over a month, don't ask!
Filmed in Richmond, Surrey here in England where we have had unusually warm weather the last few days. An outing with my Wife and Father In Law turned into this little sequence with no preparation and everything shot on the fly. Even persuaded my Father In Law to give a voice over! Appreciate your thoughts. Many thanks. |

Steady shots are nice. For these kinds of scenes (outdoor, water, sky, etc) you would really like the effect of a polarizing filter.
I have one for my 20mm, I love it.

Very nice! Loved your compostition. I see you used a slider.....very effective. And I see you use the
300%. What did you use to adjust color? Who is the poet....King Richard? When you post a video its good to include the specs, as in lenses, frame rate...etc. Always helps to get new ideas. |

Re: Our first outing with the GH2 - Richmond in springtime
Thank you for the comments!:)
Jim, We used New Blue FX for colour grading and just the standard 14-42mm lens on this occasion. My father-in-law chose the poem and to be totally honest, I don't have a clue who it's by!!! Will find out and then update my vimeo page with all details...:) Many thanks. |

The poem is a portion of The Waste Land by TS Eliot. Did he recite it from memory?
