And what was your question again? :) You mentioned having second thoughts, is that between using the gh4 and the g7?

Re: gh4 or g7

Allthough I expect they perform somewhat the same in IQ there are some substantial differences between the two in regard to videorecording, from what I have seen the most important additions the gh4 has over the g7 are: higher bitrate codecs, unlimited recording, headphone jack, higher slo mo framerate, weathersealing, ntsc/pal switchable.

You need to consider matching this camera with your canons as the color will be different, same applies for detail, especially if you use lumix lenses. You also need to ask yourself if you are going to invest in m4/3 lenses or use a adapter, personally I find native m4/3 lenses the main reason to work with this camera as the can be stabilised, autofocus very quickly and accurate, are very small and light, quite cheap (at least some) and give you a very detailed image.

Re: gh4 or g7

I filmed a wedding with someone who used a gh4. The color and look didn't match up well with my 70d, spent a lot of time in post trying to fix it. I couldn't imagine why you'd want to mix these cameras in addition to the cost of investing in another lens system.

OK cool will keep the g7 for personal usage then, great points don't want to invest in other lens and love canons colours and dont want to add extra work, although i may get the Panasonic 42.5 1.7 as a extra with the 14-45. Cheers guys

Re: gh4 or g7

You can use adapters to make your existing lenses work with your panasonic but there is always some functionality you might/will loose over native lenses. The 42,5 f1.7 is an excellent lens considering it's price.

Re: gh4 or g7

If you want unlimited recording time you will need the GH4R which is around £1200 as opposed to £499 for the G7, I have a G7 and it is a great little camera.
