GH4 autofocus on startup even if in manual? at DVinfo.net

Had an issue on a shoot yesterday where the GH4 went into power save mode. When switching the camera back on it re-focussed the 12-35mm f2.8 even though I had it set in manual focus. Now I thought manual focus was manual focus but apparently not...

Can you stop this from happening or is it best to just turn off the power save function?

I must admit I don't use the GH4 extensively so I'm feeling stupid that we didn't pick it up. Going to have to do some creative editing - it was the wide cam on a multicam shoot.
