Quickie Test
As I mentioned in another thread, I'm in the process of rebuilding my production company after the covid shutdown. I chose the G7 as my "cheapie" 4K option until I go back to the S1H.
I just picked up a Minolta 250mm reflex lens (mint from Used Photo Pro) and was outside with it doing some quick tests. Then I noticed a fire-tanker was literally about to pass right over my house, centerline above my head. I had only seconds to setup for the shot, thought I'd share. |

Re: Quickie Test
Folks, that’s a Boeing 737 Fireliner owned by Coulson Aviation in the U.S. and Canada. There’s one based in Sydney now for the Xmas fire season and other raging bush fires that happen regularly around Australia.
One of 6 Coulson Aviation Boeing 737-300s used as air tankers, can typically dump 4000 gallons (15,150 liters) of retardant or water on a fire in a few seconds. Robert you were lucky you weren’t rained on by that Coulson 737 that flew over you. :)

Re: Quickie Test
Last time I was in Baja California I met one of pilots. Interesting dude. Worked the fire season and then spent the rest of the year traveling around and enjoying life.
