In short, use the Firestore only under controlled conditions. For outdoors, cold temperatures, etc ... use the P2 and unload into P2Store.

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably go with an FS100 as the 32GB cards are going to be about $1700 a pop when they initially come out. Makes more sense to get 100GB DTE for that price than one 32BG P2.

I plan on purchasing the HVX200 soon and I'd like to know if you can record SD 24p onto tape. I'll need the HD for other stuff but alot will be shot in widescreen DV...

Yes, you can record SD 24p to tape with the HVX200.
