Feedback on the AG-HPX500
Greetings everyone; we are currently in the financing steps of doing a travel series (international) with the intent of shooting it in 1080i (hpx500 primary) and xlh1, z1, hv20 (secondaries and random broll/pov). After shooting the series we will relay it to Nat Geo INt'l as a acquisitions deal.
I am wondering if the HPX500 is solid enough to be considered as a primary for a HD production for a venue such as Nat Geo. Will it just squeak by in terms of visual quality or is the quality comparable of it's more expensive siblings.. I've done some research here and it seems like the overall consensus is that its a step above the HVX, however, my primary question is that will the output be good enough for an all HD production at nat geo's standards ? PS to throw in another question in the mix; we have a bunch of Nikor D2X lenses that we hope to use with this camera; is there a stepup or adaptor that we can use or will we have to resort to a 35mm adapter of some sort? |
