tape vs firestore

Is there any quality difference in material recorded in 720 24p to standard mini DV tapes vs recording to firestore FS100 in 720 24p?

I'm in Rwanda working on a doc and we are having problems importing from the Firestore to Final Cut pro - we are recording onto Firestore, exporting to a RAID array, but we're unable to reimport the stored .mxf files to Final Cut.

We can view the .mxf files in log and transfer, but can't import them to a FCP timeline.

I'm new to P2, and to Firestore, so any assistance gratefully received!

Best wishes

stupid question

Sorry all. I see that (unlike my JVC HD110) the HVX200 will only record HDV to P2 cardsor a Firestore, not to tape.

So cancel this query.
