How to do 16x9 on tape mode?

Excuse the basic nature of this question, but how do I shoot 16 x 9 on the HVX while it's in tape mode?

In the menu choose CAMERA SETUP and then ASPECT CONV. Here you have both LETTERBOX
and SQUEEZE mode. If you only want to add black bars on your images in order to have a 16:9 aspect you can choose LETTERBOX. If you want to shoot real 16:9 choose SQUEEZE mode.
