I think this is the mockup that Panasonic showed last year at NAB (note the date on the article)...which "might" be considered the "concept car" version of what we'll see next week. In the veiled photo we've seen, the form factor looks a lot more like the DVX...so I don't think it will resemble the "super 8 cam" look of the mockup.

LOL, I had the same impression of cam style. Hope the real one is nothing like this, otherwise I'm going with the Sony's Z1...

I was looking at the mock up trying to see a tape drive,,,and I noticed there are not even any P2 slots!

Yes, the information with the mock up implied that the camera formed a psychic link with the operator who would have to undergo an experimental cybernetic meld their brain with a PCMCIA slot.

Wow, I've got to quit watching so many movies...

That's right, but unfortunatley, Sony already has a patent on that technology, so Panasonic has to shelve their plans.
