Capture problems with HVX in tape mode
I am having difficulty capturing from tapes recorded on my HVX. When I try log and capture on my Mac, it says no capture device found. This is the case for iMovie as well.
Has this happened to anyone? Are there some weird settings I need to change? Jon |

I'm not a Mac user so I don't know of any mac-specific advice, but the most obvious thing to check is to make sure that the P2/Tape switch is in "tape" mode... then put the camera in VCR mode, and it should work just like any other DV camera.

Also make sure you're using Firewire, not USB.

Yeah, it's definitely in Tape mode and using Firewire not USB.

Maybe your Firewire cable is faulty? Try changing it to another one first? Or your firewire port on your HVX200 or your Mac is blown?
