I was thinking along those exact lines when ordering mine. I just threw in a 4Gb card for kicks.

The result?

I've been shooting less than an hour DV and have found myself doing riddiculous stuff to my portable to record longform HD -;)

The Firestore is very cool. So are P2 cards and they are relatively cheap compared to tape (that is DVCPRO HD tapes and deck - not mini DV)

The image and editability of DVCPRO 50 and HD is pretty awesome. And the images...

Well' I'm getting used to them by now, so I have to do the occational SD reality test to see my luck.
