Native 30p/24p capture: is there a firewire issue?
For some reason I seem to recall reading there is an issue with trying to output native 24p/30p footage via firewire from the HVX200. Is this true? Does this make it difficult to transfer to a PC or Mac from the camera?

If the footage was shot on a P2 card as pN you can transfer that via firewire.
You cannot record pN through firewire live. |

?
You mean with the new laptop Intel Macs? Yes they did take away the PCIMA slot but you can transfer from camera.... It is more of a hassle than popping a P2 card in and it does tie up the camera.... You could always get a PC that has a PCIMA slot.... Transfer to a FAT32 formatted external and you can load the files onto your MAC for editing. |
