Has anyone rewired the audio of an HVX???
Hi all. . .
Of course I realize that the HVX has two onboard XLR connectors for external microphones and also records two tracks from the internal microphone. What I want to know is this: Has anyone attempted to rewire the HVX in such a way as to disconnect the onboard microphones and run two new XLRs to those internal preamps so that FOUR outboard tracks of audio can be recorded? it seems to me that this ought to be the easiest of fixes, since the onboard mics have to go through preamps to get the signal to an appropriate level. I was thinking of just mounting a little box on the accessory shoe with two additional XLR connectors and run those wires into the front of the HVX. Any thoughts? Stephen |

check out DVXuser.com. I seem to recall someone over there actually doing what you suggest.
