Pentax K-7 Footage Only
First Takes: K-7 Video on Vimeo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kFjqJTY270 I am switching my preference from the gh1 to the k-7 as I think it appears as slightly nicer quality footage to my preference. Please post links to k-7 footage here as it becomes available similar to the gh1 footage thread. |

It's YUV4:2:0
I downloaded original K-7 AVI clips from vimeo and used VideoSpec ( VideoSpec par Laurent Ettouati - Analyze your video ) to find it out. |

Some footage
I asked Pentax France to test the video features of the k-7.
Here are some tests I made : Philippe Jadin's videos on Vimeo Your comments on those are welcome :-) Philippe 123piano | So much to do, and so little time Philippe Jadin on Vimeo |

Concert footage
Shot this Saturday night using the DA 50-300m and the new 18-55mm WR.
Audio path was AT825-Zoom H4n-K7. Zoom was set to Auto Levels. It looks better on YouTube that on the 30" monitor. Noise appears less intrusive. A 2nd cam would've turned this into something smoother. Let me know what you think. YouTube - K7 2009 08 29 Spring Creek Bluegrass Band HD |

Out Fishin
Shot this Sunday evening. It really shows of the image stabilization. Walking in, I carried the K7 in my right hand and my boots in the left.
It also shows I've not mastered controlling noise in lowish light situations. Lens was the 18-55mm WR, initially at around f/15, then f/7, then f/4. I added 2 stops of EV, since it looked dark on the screen. But I'd forgotten to match the screen to the environment, and it was still set to low or dark after the concert the previous night. Audio is from the built-in mic. Color scheme was "Muted". AWB. YouTube - K7 2009 08 30 Out Fishin HD |
