				Halogen Work Lights?

Hi, Can I use Halogen work lights (Home Depot, about $8/500watts) for video work? If I manually white balance for them? Where do they land in terms of color temp? Thanks, Josh |

That is the deal dude . you just don't really know.. Do your thing with them.. but in many ways lighting is like dressing..can you dress your light with a lightbank? does it have color controlled bulbs? can it take an umbrella mount? I have found that you need to dress a light. However I do commend your innovation.. Your bulbs now are made for wattage and may have little changes in temp. I would guess that they are about 2900K Strength and honor Richard <<<-- Originally posted by Joshua Provost : Hi, Can I use Halogen work lights (Home Depot, about $8/500watts) for video work?
