				Tungsten Lights

Okay, I'm very new at videography, so be gentle. Very gentle. What exactly is tungsten lighting? I understand that it give you the true white look and whatnot, but what I really want to know is, where can I get these? Is it true that compact flourescent bulbs give off the same look now? Also, is it true that the construction lights you can buy at Home Depot are tungsten? Naturally, I'm assuming you can get them at the video dealer, but was looking for a cheaper way out to start with.

You might benefit from a book on lighting -- search the lighting forum here for suggestions.

You might benefit from a DVD tutorial on lighting. There's one that's getting really good reviews here: Lighting for Film and Television DVDs |
