LED lights

Anyone know why the major LED on-camera lights (varizoom) put out daylight (5500k) instead of incandescent color temp?

The thought is that you need more punch for exteriors, so knocking down the daylight lamp a stop with a correction filter for tungsten makes more sense than the other way around.
