O.K. here are some pics of the Redhead with the accessory holder attached. The holder has four brackets that screw into four receiving holes in the sides of the Redhead instrument. It's a bit difficult to measure the exact distance between the bracket arms, but it looks to be approximately 6 1/2" apart.

The wire safety screen (attached in these shots) slides into the slot in the accessory holder that is closest to the bulb, and then is tightened into place. Scrims, filters, or lenses go into the middle slot, and the barn doors fit into the outermost slot.

Cruising through the "Filter and Diffuser Holder" section of the B&H lighting online catalog, I can't seem to find anything that matches. You may need to order from Ianiro.

Hope this helps.

Fascinating. The pictures are great. My Ianero Ianebeam 3140 red head has a rounder back, more vents and no holes to receive the bracket bolts. Apparently there are some differences

I called Barbizon in NY yesterday. They are looking to see what they can find.

Knowing that there are these differences is very helpful.

Ty Ford

A complete Redhead light will have the accessory holder fitted - this is held in place with three screw knobs that hold the holder onto the raised rim. You fit the barndoors onto the accessory holder.

You should also fit a safety glass (or wire) into holder, the bulbs have the habit of occasionally exploding. The scrims will fit in front of the safety glass.

Ty,

Wow, you're right. That's a lot of variation between yours and mine. I think you better first track down an accessory holder for your unit, before you rush out and buy any of the scrims, barn doors, etc.

If that much is different, there may be other differences with how those other accessories mount in the holder. If I were you, I'd want to double check that those other things will fit first.

Good luck.
