Are you willing to sell the lenses seperately? It would be easier if you put a price on them.

Asking Prices

All lenses are manual and Non AI (you should not use auto lenses for 35mm adapaters as you will have to shoot wide open which is not ideal for good results)

$530 USD - Nikon 85mm f1.4 with lens hood - Great condition!
$300 USD - Nikon 55mm f1.2 - Great condition!
$400 USD - Nikon 35mm f1.4 with lens hood - Great condition!
$200 USD - Nikon 24mm f2.0 - Great condition!

All lenses have rear caps, front has caps only if there is no lens hood. Always cared for and stored separately in pelican case. Used only with PS Technik mini35 adapter under my operation and all films featured in festivals across Canada. See website for results.

Interested in all lenses together - make an offer. Will consider selling separate too.

Hey Dennis,
in your short "Sous Le Jour" which lense did you use for shots 1,2,3,4,9,10?

I would have to check notes, this was shot several years ago. I remember using only 2 lenses for this film. Probably something between 35 and 55mm. Was also shot using PAL XL1s camera and converted to 24fps.

Ethan Cooper January 21st, 2009 02:49 PM

I'm very curious about the 35mm & 24mm if you're willing to break the set up.

Are these AIS or Non AI, or one of the other variations of Nikons?

Tom Robertson January 21st, 2009 09:57 PM

Bought one of the cam's from Torrey and I have to say I am very pleased. The camera is excellent and Torrey could not have been nicer to deal with. Everything arrived in great shape and was well-packed. Would highly recommend him to anyone thinking of purchasing from him in the future. He's a great guy and will go way out of his way to make sure everthing is OK and that you are pleased with your purchase. Thanks Torrey!

Spike Spiegel January 21st, 2009 10:10 PM

sorry for the delay, i've been out of the country filming.. I can exclude the rain cover, the 1.6x sits in between the camera body and the lens. I am fairly sure it will take the same canon batteries.

To me, photos of a unit for sale always help. Even though everyone knows what it looks like. That is a fantastic price.

how are you shipping it?

Shipping by FedEx Ground, but, due to lack of interest, it is now on the auction site that we're not supposed to mention here. Send me a note and I'll point you to the right place.

The first picture Dennis just posted show that the lenses have the AI (auto indexing) cam on the aperture ring, so they are at least AI, maybe AIS (not that it would make any difference for adaptor use).

Hey Dennis, why did you think these were not AI Nikkors?

Hell if I know, I thought AI meant auto :) but these are definitely manual lenses... after further reading looks in fact like these are AI which is auto-indexing: Nikon F AI'd, AI, AIS Lenses

Starter lighting kits

I have been looking into lighting options for interviews & potentially for something to throw a bit of light on a dance floor to make it possible to shoot in pitch black (aka mood lighting).

All the options I've seen are around $500 or so new for 3 lights with softboxes & stands. Does anyone have a starter kit they would be willing to part with for less than $500?

Craig Terott January 22nd, 2009 07:29 PM

I have pictures but I see no way to add them to the thread? What's the secret to that?
