Hi mike,

Are we talking about the small package here? Does it have French flag? Can you quote the shipping to Portugal?

Thanks

Louis Maddalena November 20th, 2009 09:50 PM

How well does it connect to the camera? Does it include rods, or is it a lens mounted matte box?

Trevor Meeks November 20th, 2009 10:55 PM

still looking for an EX1 component cord - I need this by the end of the month and am willing to pay. if anyone has one lying around that they're willing to part with, please e-mail me ASAP!

thanks!

G. Lee Gordon November 20th, 2009 11:12 PM

Is it still available?

Aaron Fowler November 21st, 2009 12:02 AM

Maybe this thread will help...?

http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/sony-xdc...ent-cable.html

Adam Gold November 21st, 2009 01:10 AM

The EX1 uses the old style component cable, with the more rectangular plug as opposed to the newer rounder D plug on the camera end. It's the VMC-30VC and if you Google it you'll see it's available almost everywhere. But it isn't cheap.

I'm pretty sure the 30FC won't fit.

Here's a photo of the camera and of my cable:

I can't get an idea of what that VMC-30VC camera-end connector looks like - is it the same thing? Sorry - just don't want to get the wrong thing.

Yes I agree, this is a fantastic deal.

If I didn't already own the XL H1S, I'd seriously consider this.

Good luck!

Tom Robertson November 21st, 2009 05:52 PM

That is correct -- Premier Pro, OnLocation, and Encore. I'll check with the post office to see what is involved to mail to Canada -- if it's not too involved I'll do it. Are you interested?

Vito DeFilippo November 21st, 2009 08:29 PM

Tom, don't bother checking. I was hoping that Photoshop might be in there.

Thanks anyway for the reply and your willingness to check things out.

Rode NT1A & Rode NT4

2 Attachment(s)
Rode NT1-A

Bought the NT1-A brand new a couple of years ago, tested once but never used it, as I have had no occasion to use a single mic (always used a stereo pair). Meant to buy another one to use as a stereo pair, but bought the single stereo pair Rode NT4 instead.

Complete with the original shock mount and mic pouch. Asking $159 shipped by USPS within the US.

Rode NT4

Bought the NT4 shortly after the NT1-A. Have used it a dozen times or so, always in doors (never used it outdoors). Very good sound quality, and very convenient to use as it has internal battery but also can take external phantom power.

Complete with the original accessories:
• Custom foam lined carry case,
• Twin-head wind shield,
• Stand adapter/mic holder,
• Stereo XLR to dual XLR (left/right) output cable,
• Stereo XLR to stereo 1/8” cable,
• 3/8 to 5/8 thread adapter

Asking $359 shipped by USPS within the USA

Sample footage from this slider?

Adam Gold November 22nd, 2009 02:56 PM

Yes, that's the VC end. The FC end is round like a letter "D".

If you download the manuals you'll see yours is the same connector as on the Z1 and therefore the FX1, and if you go to Sony and search for the cable for the FX1 the VC is the one that comes up. I actually spent an evening doing this and had to put together a spreadsheet to keep them all straight.

You could confirm with Sony by going here:

https://servicesplus.us.sony.biz/sony-parts.aspx

Enter your model, choose the US version, choose Accessories and find the phone number next to the listing for Component Cable.

Lexicon Omega Portable Recording Interface

Hi Everyone

This is for Australian residents, preferrably from Sydney.

I recently purchased (earlier this year) a Lexicon Omega Portable Recording Interface. I am looking at selling it as I am seeking to upgrade to a solid state recorder with more tracks (the Omega only has 8 inputs with 4 simultaneous).

I have only used the unit once for a voice over project and still have all the accessories and original packaging.

I am trying to gauge if people are interested in buying this type of gear second hand.

The rrp on the unit is $489.

Many thanks

Andrew
