I've got a 55-100 Watt Lowel i-Light (DC version of the Pro-Light), with an Anton Bauer power tap connection, CamLink and StandLink I can let go for $85. I might be able to find a lightstand I could sell for another $15.

Would that work for you?

*I will go to what may be considered extraordinary lengths to make sure the buyer is as safe as possible in this transaction, even if I have to put myself at some risk. I would CONSIDER sending gear to well established member of this community prior to payment being sent. I will have to figure that out with potential buyer as we go though. One favor; please don’t call me an idiot for doing this. I already feel like one for unloading my stuff at a loss anyway. Thank you.

I REALLY hope this helps.

PS: If you are seriously interested in any of my gear, you can call me at 808-645-0778 (Kauai, Hawaii) 9am to 11pm PST / 12pm to 2am EST

Hi Tyge-

Sent email too.

Aloha, Erik

Brian - thanks for the reply. I was looking for standard AC plug lights, but if this i-Light has an option to go AC I'll consider it. Do you know if it's possible to power it from a wall plug?

The easiest thing is if you happen to have an Anton Bauer AC charger with a PowerTap receptacle. That works fine.

If not, any AC to 12vDC power source should work. The tricky part is to mate with the PowerTap connector. Anton Bauer sells a female PowerTap adapter kit which you could probably use to fashion an appropriate cable (Anton Bauer | Female PowerTap Kit - Adapts any 12 | FPOWERTAPKIT). Or, you could just snip the PowerTap connector off the Lowel cable and splice in whatever connector you need.

You'd think there'd be a simple, more elegant solution, but I haven't found one so far.

Ethan Cooper January 29th, 2009 03:37 PM

From a quick search on B&H it doesn't appear that they sell an accessory that adapts the light to AC power. Is this correct?

**EDIT**
Disregard the previous statement, we must have posted about the same time and you answered that question with your post.

I'll pass for now since I don't already have any AB chargers that would have a PowerTap receptacle and I don't feel like complicating matters trying to make the light simply plug into the wall. Thanks for the info, and thanks for offering your light for sale but it's just not for me.

Brian Standing January 29th, 2009 03:40 PM

I just did the same search! Nope, not that I can find. Seems kind of odd, doesn't it?
