fx-1 for sale

I have one for sale. What price is reasonable where you live? I'm curious if 2,000 is ridiculous what the going rate is. Sounds like you could buy them where you live and put them on ebay and make a good living. Make an offer I might take it.

Hello Luke

Did you get the email I sent?

Jeff Harper September 16th, 2010 06:44 AM

I consider the going rate to be what they sell for on this forum. Do a search and it is easy to see.

For example: FX1 with one hour's use sold for $1750. I've seen them for $1500, $1600, etc. I've see a good number for $2000 or more, but that normally includes lots of extras, but not always, and they sell more slowly.

These are old cameras, and there are now two generations of Sony cameras that have arrived since. A used FX1000 can now be purchased for under $3K, so $2500 price for FX1, IMO, is laughable. I purchased a used HMC 150 last year for $2500 on this forum, it was fresh out of the box, almost new.

Z1 generally sells in the 2000- $2500 and up range, though I've seen them for less on occasion.

If your FX1 is for sale you should have a price in mind and post it or email me what you're willing to take.

These are great cameras only used by little old ladies to shoot weddings.

OK the little old lady thing was a joke but I do take very good care of my cameras.

fx-1 for sale

for 1500 to 1600 I'd leave it on the shelf to look at. Looks like you get some pretty sweet deals! Good Luck.

Tim Polster September 16th, 2010 11:03 AM

Paul, I am sorry to hear of your situation. I hope you get a swift resolution and can move your business forward. Bump Bump...

Jeff Harper September 16th, 2010 11:13 AM

The deals are not "my deals". As I explained, do a SEARCH here for the FX1 and you will see what they sell for here. The prices are all over the place. You don't have to take my word for it. I didn't ask you to sell yours. You entered the thread saying you had a camera for sale and that you were taking offers. It was obvious you were not serious. When I have something to sell I have a price in mind, I don't ask people to make offers out of the blue.

Thanks Tim,

Broke my own rule and did not get the 50% deposit for the job. Lesson learned.

Business is doing great, having my best year except for the pothole in the road.

Paul Cascio September 16th, 2010 12:36 PM

Thanks Howard. Exactly as advertised and very cooperative and courteous seller.
