If your camera has an Anton Bauer mount, the camera can run from the sled/bottom battery. I am including the cord and the battery plate. It comes with the original soft case and all original accessories (stand, cables, etc).

I would be interested in some things like Sound Devices recorders, Schoeps or Sennheiser matched pair microphones, and I'm certainly interested in other similar things, partial or full trade possible.
Thanks!

I'd love it but I'm not in the market for one till late August. Had a budget for practically the same thing for $2500.

It is an auto-leveling crane and as well as having the ability to tilt with the crane attached to the Hercules Head.

You can't pan it other than swinging the arm. And at the full extension 18' and 12' you have to lock off the hercules head for safety. However, in the 8' and 5.5' configurations you can use your tripod head.

This link should help you - http://www.kesslercrane.com/images/s...%20All%203.mov

It shows how this works. Kessler doesn't recommend this in the 12 or 18 configuration though.

video testing today.

no edited raw footage, the camera is simply sitting on the rail block and the rail is placed on the table.

no special sound improvement, just the sound quality directly from the camera.

Editing Desk .... Question

1 Attachment(s)
Hi All...
Just wanted to hear opinions on a decent editing desk, why you like what you have and any suggestions? I cannot afford the $2-3,000 that some of these things cost so looking for good leads on where to find a used one or maybe if someone has made one?

Sort of like the kidney bean shaped desks that have another smaller shelf on top of the bigger one. Has anyone found a good alternative from maybe Office Depot or something like that? Thanks in advance for any advice.

DVInfo.net ROCKS!!! The folks here are truly awesome! Chris... you started a great thing dude :-) More soon.... Peace, R

Attached is a photo of pretty nice desk... just wish it had a smaller shelf layer in the back. Ideas? THANKS!

Lectrosonics Wireless Mic System

I picked this up from B&H about a year ago, and have decided to part with it. Why? Well, I figure if I'm going to drop a wireless system in the ocean (which is where I spend most of my time shooting), it might as well be a cheaper wireless system.

So…

(1) Lectrosonics LMa Transmitter
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/533267-REG/Lectrosonics_LMA_21_LMa_Frequency_Agile_Digital_Hybrid.html
(1) Lectrosonics UCR100 Receiver
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/261198-REG/Lectrosonics_UCR100_21_100_Series_UHF.html
(2) Lectrosonics Mini to XLR Cables
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/261215-REG/Lectrosonics_MC100XLR_Mini_to_XLR_Output.html
No mic is included here, just the items mentioned above. All gear is in perfect working order, with some very minor cosmetic blemishes. I'll also include a B.E.C. Group hotshoe-mount receiver holder for free.

First $950 via Paypal (shipping included to CONUS) takes the package.

If you're looking for inexpensive but solid, the Studio RTA Recording Work Stations are a good bang for the buck. I've had a few of these and been quite happy. Hard to beat the prices. They are delivered un-assembled so have power tools and a friend or two ready to help out.

Roze Hanks May 15th, 2010 10:00 PM

WOW Thank you Michael!!!

Hey Michael... I have never seen these before. AWESOME!!! Exactly the type and price I was hoping for. Dude you are stellar :-) We even have a "Guitar Center" here in 'pod dunk' south Louisiana where I live. I cannot thank you enough! Will be going there tomorrow to get something.

Have a great weekend! God Bless, Roze

Roze,
Where in the swamp are ya? Just FYI, A while back (a long while!) I was looking for a similar desk. I treid designing and building one out of MDF and it worked well enough... it was inexpensive and SOLID but I'm not a carpenter and you could tell it was home made. I then went to a few antique/consignment stores and found an old library table (cypress/oak?) that works just fine for me. As a suggestion, just look around for a table that fits your needs and budget and repurpose it! If you are using flat screens, look at adding a couple of VESA ready monitor stands that can attach to the back of the table. This is something I am looking at for myself. It will add a bunch of desktop space by lifting the monitors off the desk. I am also looking at mounting a 32" flat screen on the wall behind the desk for viewing my videos and allowing clients o see what I'm doing without rearranging the room.

DIY is a real option here! Make sure the desk height is right for your keyboard, mouse, and other control surfaces. My library table isn't but the desk chair rises up high enough to make editing comfortable.

I've had a nice maple workstation-style desk for a while. Ikea has these stainless steel 6" legs, that with some maple shelf stock, made a perfect monitor bridge. Now I have two, holding up 3 monitors, 2 speakers, and a printer.

Funny you mentioned IKEA - I've used PAX wardrobe (or actually the long, side pieces) and two computer stands to build dual workstation bench. :-)
