This is a very good SD camera with excellent specs and some of the best color rendition you'll ever see. Has fantastic dynamic range. Used it to shoot the most popular music video on Web (perhaps in history) "America We Stand As One." See its pictures at www.americawestandasone.com. Also shot successful feature "Baberellas" with it, domestic istribution by Xenon that foreign dist has sold to many markets, just sold to SciFi Channel UK.

FS: Image 2000 Baseplate and Rods for Canon XL

I've got an extra Image 2000 baseplate and 15mm rod system that fits Canon XL series. It would need a slight hieght adjustment to fit the XL2, but doesn't look difficult to do. Silly thin cost $500, a real rip, but a necessity at the time. Make an offer. I'm just looking to get a little bit back for it from someone who could really use it

because it is not more available from JVC (and support is questionable).
it is not sold anymore.
it is a so special camera (good to make movies, but it is almost all), and there are so many camera doing better (like the sony A1 or FX1) that you really need to find THE guy who wants it .
And too bad, but the potential guys that could be interested are probably all waiting for the FX2, XL2-HD, HD260, RED, SI1920 or i don't know what.
As value of a thing is proportional to the number of of people who wants it,
i think we can say the negotiable value is low (zero was just kidding).
Additionally , i leave in a PAL world where a NTSC only cam is difficult to place.
I you want i can raise the price...
But for your info , i receive no offer for this camera at that price.
(i even expect now to keep it, since money problem seems less urgent that it looked)
I am changing my mind very fast, so i expect people looking for a chance to take it fast too when they got one.
