It definitely exists, but I doubt you'll find it here. Check out

If you really need an f/1.0 lens, you might have better luck trying to get an old manual focus on ebay.

Howdy...

I'm looking for either a 501 or 503 tripod head in good condition for a good price. If you are looking to part with either, please drop me a note via ben-at-freedmanhome-dot-com.

Thanks,

Ben

Does exist. Was discontinued a while ago. Not a very great lens in terms of quality. All kinds of issues and very expensive. Was simply a lens so canon could say they had the fastest 35mm SLR lens.

If you want something that is good and usable look for the 85 1.2 L or the 50 1.4.

Does it come with the charger?

Thanks guys, jsut saw it and was looking to round out a collection of L-Series primes. I'm surprised it wasn't that great considering. So for 50mm the 1.4 lens is still a good option (even though it's not an l-series?)

Thanks for the info.

I find it hard to believe that nobody picked this mic up in the three months since it was last posted...
If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the mic and why are you selling it so low?

Meryem Ersoz March 19th, 2006 11:37 AM

someone was (maybe still is?) recently selling a used one of these for $3200 at fredmiranda. so i did some quickie research on it, because fast lenses are always tempting...

all reviews indicate that the 50mm 1.4 gives just as good an image and that the 1.0 is a collector's lens--a "fetish" lens, i've heard it called....issues with the 1.0 is that autofocus is slow and it's soft wide open.

for the price, the 1.4 seems like the better option.

Fuji Finepix S7000

Hello guys and gals, I am selling my DSLR-ALIKE camera that has served me well the past 1 and a half years. However, I am selling only to Vancouverrites so I don't have to do the shipping hassle. I have it listed on craigslist but for DVInfoers who say they saw it on this forum I will give them a break.

FOR SALE: FUJI FINEPIX S7000 + .66x 52mm Raynox Wideangle adaptor + Raynox 52-55mm extender tube + 256mb XD card
$325

Picture of what you get: http://www.keithloh.com/sell/finepix_andbox.jpg
About the S7000 (DPReview review): http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilms7000/
A good condition SLR-ALIKE camera for someone who wants to learn about manual controls plus retain all of the automatic settings of consumer cameras. This is what I had for a year and a half before I upgraded to a full SLR. Now someone can take this and use it to take pictures like these (and hopefully better):

As you can see I've gotten a lot of use in a variety of situations with this camera (but never been dropped or mishandled!). I used it for contract work, vacation, for web work, even used it in printing. The resolution is good enough (6.3mpx) until you get into posters (which is why I have upgraded).

I am also including the Raynox wideangle adaptor that I bought later. With the adaptor on it introduces a slight vignette on the top left hand corner that is not noticeable in most shots but obviously easily cropped out or painted out in Photoshop.

If you buy now I will leave the naked pictures I took on the 256mb XD card. Just kidding.

TERMS OF SALE
Cash or bank draft/ certified cheque in Vancouver. In person. I may ask to see ID. I am not shipping anywhere. We can arrange to meet anywhere close to Downtown.

FS: Canon XL1/XL2 hard case, Marshall 4" LCD

I have a Canon hard case (not sure if its an actual Canon brand, but it fits my XL1s). It's not suitable for shipping, but its a nice case if you're in the market for a hard case. I recently bought a Portabrace bag, so I have no use for it anymore. It's used, but in good condition. Normal wear & tear. Paid $150 originally.

For the Marshall 4" LCD, I have the AC Adapter and a battery pack. Comes with original packaging and paperwork, and mount that fits the accessory bracket (hotshoe mount) on the XL cameras. The LCD has 2 inputs and outputs (BNC style connector). It also has adjustments for contrast, tint, color, and brightness. 230 lines of resolution, full color, NTSC/PAL compatiable. I personally prefer the viewfinder because I mainly do a lot of moving around and find its a little easier, so I have no use for the LCD. The LCD is almost new, almost no signs of wear. Paid $250 originally.

I'm looking for about $325 + S&H or best offer on these items. I would like to sell them together if possible. I have pictures available if anyone's interested. I will take check, money order, paypal, or escrow.com (assuming buyer pays all escrow fees). If paying by check, I'll ship as soon as it clears.

Thanks
