WTB: Original XL1S Carton & Packing Materials

Does anyone have their original Canon XL1S carton and packing materials just laying around that they want to get rid of....for a price, of course?

I'm needing to ship an XL1S overseas and I'd like to package it in an original carton so that it will be provided the best possible insurance against damage.

If you do either please email me or respond here with what you would want for such items.

Thanks!!

Fs 4

Hi Mark;
I'm interested but only one. E-mail me maybe some one else could pick up the other two.

Kevin Brumfield March 6th, 2006 07:00 PM

Mark,

May I ask how much usage each drive has had and your reason for selling. Also, does the package include:

- the original 6-pin to 4-pin FireWire cables
- AC Adapter for each

You mention, "This package will include one extra Firestore battery plus 2 external NiCad battery packs..."

Is this in addition to the original removable Li-Ion rechargeable battery that came with each drive.

Thanks for any additional info.

Kevin

2 Canon XL1 cameras for sale - Vancouver

Start your own 2 camera video production, perfect for event/sport videos.
I want to sell these within a week, so I can pick up an HVX200 before I leave on a trip. I'd prefer a local sale, but will ship to anyone in North America.
Here's what I got:

1 Canon XL1/EVF/Mic with 16x lens
1 Canon XL1/EVF/Mic with 3x lens

4 batteries
Chargers and AC adapters
1 remote control
1 shoulder strap
Instruction manual
Probably assorted other stuff
Hours: around 80-100 each, tops. Probably less.

Optional: A Canon ZR40 camcorder that I use as a deck to keep playback/log hours off the XL1's.

Price? Subject to offers, but asking $4500cdn for the package.
At this point, I won't break up the package, as if I don't sell them before I go I'm taking them with me.

Email me at thedvchallenge@hotmail.com if interested.

Mike Quinones March 6th, 2006 10:03 PM

Mark;
If you are willing to separate them I'm willing to take one. It might be easier to sell that way. If you do, let me know a fair price. You can e-mail me.

Tim Hyten March 7th, 2006 01:09 AM

Are you interested in breaking it up at all? I might be interested in the mini mole.

Tim

Bruce S. Yarock March 7th, 2006 04:25 AM

mark,

Ken...

If you can't find what you're looking for, then do what I did when shipping expensive equipment: Get polyurethane foam cushion material from a home supply store.

Keep in mind that distance between equipment and the outer wall of the box should be at least 2 inches for protection against crushing and dropping.

And with a sharp fillet knife you can cut out the appropriate shapes in the foam to fit the gear. Be sure to wrap the camera and lens with plastic to protect against inevitable foam particles.

Hope this helps.
