sony drv100 or drv1000 dvcam PC drive
 

i'm looking for drv100 or drv1000 - sony's discontinued computer drive.

this dvcam drive fits in PC's 5,25" bay and works as normal dvcam unit. when installed (and closed) it looks like dvd or cd drive (from outside ofcourse). there is tray for DV cassettes etc. will buy it for reasonable price if unit is in good working condition. i do not care about scratches etc, and other cosmetic imperfections.

Good luck... I've been looking for one of these for almost 2 years now. Not only are they discontinued, but I think that any available might have been sucked into a blackhole.

why were these discontinued?
it seems like a good product...
do these take miniDV's as well? or is there a separate one made that does?

I believe there were 2 models- one took MiniDV and DV, the other took larger format tapes. But, I won't swear to that.

Everything is in perfect working order. The optics are clean with no scratches or dust. All batteries charge and last as expected. LCD monitor works as new. Everything is in perfect working order.

The camera was purchased new in April of 2004. It is technically out of warranty now, but I never filled out the registration card.

Sending to ebay at the end of the week if no one is interested. All serious offers considered. Thanks.
