16x and 3x wide angle lenses and color viewfinder for sale

Basically everything but the XL body (including the Canon aluminum flight case). I just added the P&S adapter to my XL1, and as well as using 35mm lenses, it needs a bigger case. The pieces are mint...Email me with any interest.

model # of xl-1 remote

i have two gl1 remotes, if they are the same model number, i would consider parting with one of mine.
anyone who has xl-1 remote handy, can you check the model #?
jason.

get the 501 head! (3066)

i think the head is UNDERkill. as important (if not more) than a sturdy base is a smooth pan tilt. you have one, but i don't know about the other. since your tripod legs already weigh 20 lbs, the fact that the 501 head is half the size of the stock gl1 won't matter, but when you use it you will see. its a great product.

Chris Hurd August 7th, 2002 01:32 PM

They are not the same remotes. The XL1 remote is the WL-D2000. The XL1S remote is the WL-D3000. The GL1 remote is the WL-D73 and the GL2 remote is the WL-D77. Hope this helps,

Hello Jon,
Are you still looking for a GL-1?

Charles Papert August 7th, 2002 09:38 PM

I'm all set with the remote, ordered it from Canon. Thanks anyway!

Still looking for that darn 14x lens...

That's a nice package. You might find it easier to sell, or get the price you want for it, if you part it out. You should have no problem selling the 3x and 14x lenses seperately for a fair price to people here.

Stephen van Vuuren August 8th, 2002 10:53 AM

Thanks for pointing that out.

I would consider any offers on those as well. I'll add a note to the page to make that clear.

My new cams (AG-DVX100's) don't arrive until October, so I;'ve got some time.

Wanted: VX2000 or GL2 (or similar/better)

Greetings everyone,

I have a bit of a problem -- I need a digital camcorder that performs exceptionally well in very low light. The Sony VX2000 (or PD-150) appears to be a perfect match for my needs. I'm also interested in the Canon GL2. (The 30fps progressive scan mode sounds delicious.) Unfortunately there's no way that I can afford over $1,000. (I'm currently unemployed, pretty much broke, and hoping to get accepted into the Minneapolis College of Art & Design sometime in the future.) I purchased a comparatively cheap Panasonic camcorder, but quickly found out how awful the low light performance is, and returned it to the store. The kind of movie I'm trying to create requires lots of extremely low light situations. B&W/Infrared won't do, I need colors, so a 3-CCD camcorder seems to be the only way to go.

I'm running out of options. Considering there's absolutely no way I'm going to find a working VX2000 or GL2 for under $1,000, I thought I'd try here and offer a trade instead. My brother resells domain names (which is essentially Internet Real Estate) and will allow me to make a deal with someone for a trade of a VX2000. He owns nearly 4,000 and they are searchable and categorized. Visit www.nameprodigy.com to see the list of domain names. If you are at all interested, please email me at matthew@kieren.com and we can talk.

Thanks!! :)

What kind of condition is it in?
--------------------------------
Good condition: All moving parts are still tight and feel solid. The case is in good shape, shows casual wear and tear. There are no dents or dings - there is one cosmetic scratch which you can see here: http://home.earthlink.net/~mikeysbistro/CanonOpturaPi/crw_0223.htm

The lense is in excellent condition, I've made sure to take good care of that.

Check out the close-up pics it will give you a good idea of the outer physical condition of the camcorder:
http://home.earthlink.net/~mikeysbistro/CanonOpturaPi/index.htm

How many head hours?
--------------------------------
I'm guessing a max of 100 hours.

I've got 15 MiniDV tapes of raw footage from the Optura Pi and 5 master tapes so:

~ 20 hours for recording raw footage and writing back master tapes
~ 40 for preview/playback
~ 15 hours to copy raw footage to computer
~ 10 spill over use, rewinds/re-use of tape etc.

What is your price?
---------------------------------
$500 or best offer - conducted through an Escrow service
