Sony VX-2100 Camcorder & GV-D1000 VTR
 

These two items are lightly used and in top condition. To simplify transactions, I will pay shipping and insurance within CONUS and have set the prices slightly higher to cover the cost. Click on my name at the upper left, to bring up the page to send me an E-mail.

The VX-2100 DV camcorder has only about 10 hours of recording and has never been used for playback in editing or for rewinding. All accessories and an operator's manual are included with a higher-capacity NP-F570 battery substituted for the original. The large, barndoor hood with a closing lens cover comes with it. I have the manufacturer's box and will provide a copy of the sales invoice for my purchase of it. I paid $2,400. and will sell for $1,100. I will also sell a Sony VCL-HG1758 1.7X telextender lens, that was made for this camcorder series. I paid $269. for it and if you buy the camcorder will sell it for $100. extra. I ask $135. for it, if bought separately. It mounts directly on the 58mm threads of the VX-2100 and the VX-2000 camcorder models. I have lens caps for both ends and a thick, leather-like drawstring bag for it.

The GV-D1000 DV VTR is a mini-sized type, with a viewscreen and audio speakers. It's been used on a limited basis for playback to computers for editing and for re-recording to DV tapes from other digital and analog formats. All accessories are included with an operator's manual, a remote controler and a CD-ROM. This little VTR can be run on a plug-in AC power converter or on a Sony camcorder battery of the M or FM-series. It can also charge those batteries when it's connected to the AC power supply. A copy of the sales invoice for my purchase of it will be furnished. Sorry, I can't find the manufacturer's box. I paid $1,049. for it and will sell for $525.

If anyone buys all three items, including the telextender lens, I'll discount the total price by 10%.

Sure. Attached is a photo of the hour meter.

Bear in mind this camera has been used almost exclusively indoors for recording depositions, so it's not been exposed to weather. It's also mostly been used as a camera head for the past couple of years because I was capturing to a Firestore unit and DVD recorder as backup. That's why the drum hours are fairly low for a 5 year old camcorder at 680 hours.

Mark, if you can't get a buyer for the PD170 at the low price you're asking, you might check with B&H Photo and get a quote to sell it to their Used Dept. They have one used PD170 on sale now and they want $1,995. for it. However, their quote page has a checkbox for "under 500 drum hours" and it's not clear how much they'd offer for one with 680 hours. Their basic quote if it has less than 500 hours is $950.

50mm Vintage lens For Sale
 

I recently found an old Pentax cam for sale on Craiglist locally that came with a 135mm 2.8 and a 50mm 2.0 lens. I only wanted the 135 since I already have 2 nice 50s. The lens is an SMC Pentax with a K-Mount. You would need to get a K Mount adapter but they are cheap on ebay and it will work great. I checked it out and it is nice and sharp with no fungus or internal dust that I could see. In a little research on the lens I think the SMC Pentax was made by Mamiya and this particular Pentax 50mm series was one of the better versions when it was a regular item. It is sharp wide open.

I would be happy to part with it for $20 shipping included or since it is a small dollar amount if you have a small piece of gear or accessory I could use I would be happy to do a trade. I'll consider anything.

I also have a few other vintage lenses that aren't real fast and if you are wanting to play around or experiment I would be willing to throw them into a deal for cheap as well....or up the trade a little. My other lenses are a Sears 50-135 3.5 (this one seems to have a "ghost floater" if you catch the sun right....I can't see any dirt that would cause it internally. Not sure what is causing it), a Hanimex 28mm 2.8 (it is soft wide open but sharpens down nicely at 3.5). These are both just fun lenses to play with if you are starting out and want to experiment a little.

If you want the 50mm or all 3 I'm game for a trade of some sort or make me an offer for all three.

I'm dropping the price for the VX2100 DV camcorder to $900. and for the GV-D1000 DV VTR to $425. I will cover shipping and insurance costs within CONUS.

I should point out that although I've recorded only about 10 hours of video on the VX2100, the time in Record/Pause would be around three times that much, so the total hours of operation for the head drum is an estimated 40 hours. The GV-D1000 has an estimated 40 to 50 hours of recording and playback. I have a separate DV tape rewinder, so neither has done much of that.

Both are free of external nicks and marks and the lens, viewfinder and viewscreens are unflawed. Neither has been used in rainy or dusty conditions and the GV-D1000 VTR has never been outside my house.
