EF 50 1.4 in UK for sale
 

Hi Guys

I have a spare EF-50 1.4. Its in mint condition but the autofocus does not work (I bought it from a guy on another forum at full price and he didn't tell me the autofocus was not working!). I think its about 1 year old and the focus ring works perfectly so for video work its ideal. Also, this lens has a really good focus ring with long travel.

I used this lens almost excludely for my low light video work last year with amazing results.

Anyway, I thought before trying to sell it formally I would check on here to see if anyone is interested since you guys would probably appreciate it more than someone on ebay.

It is boxed etc. I did recently find a guide online which explains how to fix the autofocus. Otherwise it can be sent to Canon for repair at a cost of about £80. However, as I said, for video work its percect!

Any offers?

as for the matte box I got it from a friend, but I think it's once of the indian variants that knock off the vocas design. This one look similar, but I took mine apart and repainted it and machined a simple adapter plate to get it to attach to the rail system. I also replaced the front matte with styrene to save weight.

Gitzo G1380 Tripod Head w/ Counterbalance System
 

I'm selling a Gitzo G1380 head in mint condition. $850. I only used it a handful of times for some corporate shoots. As you can see from the images it would rate as a 9.5 out of 10 for it's condition. It's still in perfect condition.

This head comes with springs that allow it to work with cameras ranging from 2.2 lbs. to 22 lbs. I used this head with my JVC-HM700 and it counterbalanced perfectly to the weight of the camera. The springs are very easy to swap out if you need to make an adjustment. It comes with six springs and if you find that your camera needs a spring not included with the original set then you can order that specific size. It's a fully fluid head and the adjustment dials can be tweaked in small increments. It's performed exactly as I would have expected it to.

I've used Vinten Vision heads quite a bit and this Gitzo is the better of the two. It's smoother, more reliable, and it works for a much wider range of cameras.

The head comes with all it's original packaging and manuals. It has the quick release tripod plate, extra screws, and a special t-handle allen tool that makes changing the springs and adjusting the locking tensions very easy.

I'm selling this head because I've barely used it since I bought it. It only goes out for corporate jobs and I just don't do very many of those. So right now having two really nice tripod heads is starting to look like a luxury and I think I'd rather trim the extra out of my gear and keep only what I need.
