Sony HVR-Z7 high-def camera
 

Professional high-definition videocamera Sony HVR-Z7. The Z7 has 3 1/3 inch CMOS-sensors and exchangable lenses. Records as well on tape as on affordable Compact Flash media.

The camera is in mint condition, with no signs of use. The tape counter shows 30 hours. Fixed price is therefor 4.750,- euros, no bidding.

I also have a fantastic wide-angle lens for this camera, the SONY VCL-HG0872K, complete with mattebox and french flags. It is for sale separately, so not included in the price mentioned above.

Technical data:
The HVR-Z7E is the world's first HDV handheld camcorder with an interchangeable lens system, native progressive recording, and solid-state memory recording.

A variety of video lenses can be attached to the HVR-Z7E, which is equipped with a universal standard 1/3-inch bayonet mount mechanism for the quick changing of lenses.



Added to this a streamlined nonlinear editing workflow can be achieved using the supplied memory-recording unit, which provides HDV/DVCAM/DV file recording on a standard CompactFlash® solid-state memory card. This offers customers varying levels of flexibility and hybrid operation which is becoming an important requirement in video production.



The HVR-Z7E also features 25p HDV native progressive recording mode and HDMI output.

This handheld Camcorder further enhances the operational versatility of the Sony professional HDV lineup, and opens up a world of possibilities for high-definition digital video production.

For those who aren't familiar with this camera's mystical powers:When picked up by an operator with a kind heart and a strong sense of right and wrong, it makes the operator tingle a bit, then glow slightly in the dark. Creative thoughts one never expected flow through the operator's cerebral vortex, then down his /her arm to the camera, which then captures images of breath-taking quality.

I don't know why Sony didn't put this in the literature. You can't make this stuff up.

Price lowered to $650. This lens is next to impossible to find used, and is very well liked by lots of GH1/GH2 users. I have found a lens that serves my purposes better, which is the only reason I'm selling.

Forgot to include lens hood, that goes with as well.

I have a Panasonic DVC-80 in excellent shape. Actually I bought it from someone on this forum about 5 years ago. Asking for $850 shipped. Comes with manual, bag, 2 batteries, charger and a zoom controller. I'm just using it as a back up camera now. It's one of the the best SD cameras in the range. I've got a GY HM100 coming up for sale later in April - I've got one more shoot to do for a local charity and I want the material to match the material already shot. Otherwise, I'm not really using it enough to justify it's existence. The condition is mint, in original box with all included accessories and the final package will also include 4 spare aftermarket batteries, spare charger, Proactive camera light, Cinetactics Matte Box, filter holders and oversize flag and JVC GL-VO746 Wide Angle converter lens.

All equipment bought from UK JVC Dealer, Proactive, in June 2010 - so still under warranty until June 2011.
