FireStore FS-1 for Sale...
I'm selling my FireStore FS-1. Excellent condition; includes original power supply and 6pin to 6pin firewire cable.
Suggested retail price is usually around $800, but I'm selling it for $500. Unfortunately, the original packaging box and manual are not included because I've lost the manual and the box was trashed by mistake, but I'm sending it in a new box and I believe the manual can be downloaded as a PDF file off Focus Enchantments website, focusinfo.com, which also includes a rather detailed video demo showing how to operate all the functions. In fact, I always turned to the video demo rather than the manual. If anyone has a question, don't hesitate to e-mail me: artman009@hotmail.com And if you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas, I have no problem meet up and showing it in person, to settle any worries. Let me know, Art Conway artman009@hotmail.com |

FS or FT Canon GL2 with accessories
I have a barely used GL2, bought it about 6 months ago. Used the camera mostly to film a couple family things, nothing major at all. The camera works flawlessly except for one problem. It will not import video if you have a firewire 800 hardrive plugged in. Other than that, its awesome.
I have the Canon hardcase to go with it, and the Canon soft case. I have an extra (I think its 3 hour) battery a UV filter and the VL-3 light. I'd like 1700-2k for it(open), but I'm willing to trade for: Xl1s PD-150/170 DVX100 (plus cash of course) alantran@mac.com |
2 Canon GL1s for Sale
I am selling both of my Canon GL1 camcorders. It's time to upgrade! Here's some history on the camcorders.
I purchased the first GL1 in January. This camera had been serviced by Canon in December 2003. The seller of the GL1 provided me with a copy of the invoice from the Canon Service Center. The drum unit, drum base, and VAP assembly were replaced. This unit was brought up to Canon specs at a cost of $722.24 to the original owner. I can provide a copy of the Canon work order if anyone is interested. I have used this camera for three weddings since purchasing it. It is in great cosmetic condition and is in perfect working condition. This camera comes with: Canon GL1 Camcorder Lens hood 2 BP-941 generic long life batteries 1 BP-915 Canon battery Aluminum hard case WL-D73 wireless controller Shoulder strap manual I purchased the second GL1 in January as well. This camera was purchased new in 1999 and used by an East Coast wedding videographer as a backup only. It's last preventive maintenace (full cleaning and standard adjustments) by Canon was in the summer of 1993. The seller used it only for a few hours since the cleaning before selling it on the Fast Forward forums. This camera is also in very good cosmetic condition and works perfectly. It comes with everything that came in the original box. Canon GL1 Camcorder WL-D73 Wireless controller SS-650 shoulder strap Canon lens cap 1 BP-915 Canon battery 2 BP-941 generic long lenth batteries CA-910 Compact Power Adapter DC-905 Coupler S-150 S-video cable STV-250N Stereo video cable Lens hood Manual Packed in original box These cameras are both in great shape and would be great for a beginning videographer. They got me started in my part-time wedding videography business and would be excellent for someone else who is looking to get started. As I stated before, I am upgrading. I will gladly e-mail photos to anyone interested. I am PayPal verified. Please check out my eBay feedback (nddirector). I can accept PayPal or will take personal check (If paying by check, shipping will be delayed until check clears.) Camera 1 - $1,200 + shipping (USPS Priority Mail insured) Camera 2 - $1,300 + shipping (USPS Priority Mail insured) If you buy both I will cover shipping. If you are just getting started, here's your chance for two 3-chip cameras for $2,500. Thanks for looking. Chris |

NV-GS100k "Black Mamba" For Sale
Well guys its that time of year that I get a good itch for new equipment which means I must part with my GS100.
For those of you who are not familiar with the GS100 I would first like to mention that this is a Japanese camcorder with both menu and manuals in Japanese. This has been my second Japanese imported camcorder and the menu language curve is easily overcome. There are several translated "cheat sheets" that I will include with this package. As for the cam its in mint condition without a scratch. As you can tell from the photo below I keep EVERYTHING that was originally included down to the plastic tie wraps and lens cap bag. Some items have not been opened at all. The GS100 has a high quality 16:9 mode, frame mode, and cine-like gamma. Its Pro Cinema mode combines all three of these along with a bass boost for a very unique look. Here is an example of a Pro Cinema frame from my GS100 Click here $950 and I'll include free UPS shipping to anywhere in the US (Sorry no P.O. Box). Please contact me for International shipping. Included with this purchase is a 43mm UV filter and 12 brand new and never opened Panasonic MiniDV tapes (four packs of 3). Photo of the cam and its accessories: Click here The 12 Brand New Panasonic MiniDV tapes (four packs of 3) Click here I've only been a moderator here for a short time so I thought I would post my eBay feedback as another way of getting to know me. Feel free to drop in the Panasonic DV / MX series Assistant or shoot me an email if you have any specific questions about the GS100. My eBay feedback since Feb 17th 1999 Per our Classified rules this item is not on eBay. If, after time, there is no interest here then I will remove this classified and then post on eBay. A few more pics.. Photo 1 Photo 2 How does the Pro Cinema mode on the GS100 stack up against the $2000+ DVC30? Take a look.. Click here Thanks! Tommy Haupfear Greenville, SC |
Digital Juice//Artbeats
First question: Which one do you guys use more or like better?
Second question: Is it ok to buy these used? I guess people "may" make copies and sell the original but if I can get a cheaper price on the set will I be violating any of thier use policies buying them from someone else? Thanks... |
Barry,
I've bought 4 volumes of Juice and it seems like a lifetime supply. Really. I can hardly imagine really needing more then two. You can change the color and style of each of the JB's within a program that comes with 'em. Unfortunately, like so many things, DJ DOWNGRADED the program that comes with JB's... When I bought my first volume it came with a program called Fast Movie Processor and that program could make an individual JB look 100 different ways... You can still get the same end result though by creating the effects within your NLE, but what was ready to use is now rendered... even on a Canopus RT machine. Now JB's come with a program called The Juicer... and it's a far inferior program to the old one. Also older JB's are JPEG sequences which is GREAT 'cause you can take an individual JPEG and use it as a still background for titles or other NON-moving effects and photos. All new JB's come as DVD format in MPEG and I haven't figured out how to grab an individual frame other then the ordinary ways we grab stills from the timeline... which is about a fourth (or worse) of the resolution that the JPEG JB's were. I'm guessing that DJ realized they were giving away HD-compatible JB's and put a stop to it by making all new JB's MPEG... Soooooooo, if you can find used OLDER versions of the JB volumes you like, I'd definitely do that... if I didn't already feel like I have too many to choose from I'd look for older versions, not new ones. Whoever ownes the original software owns the rights to use the program... if somebody sells the software they sell the rights too. So if you buy some JB's on ebay and the seller continues to use them from copies he's made then he's breaking the law, not you. That said I'm not an attorney... I'm just using what I think is sound logic. Another thing to keep in mind with JB's is unless you're very careful to match motion and style... they look cheesy. A lot of people got JB's and then they just use it as a background to titles, ignoring motion patterns. And I've also seen TV commercials where they're used to replace a chroma-key background on a person... eww. After you get some JB's you'll be amazed at how often you see them in shows you were already watching... They're everywhere. The KEY is that you don't notice them WHEN THEY'RE USED PROPERLY... As far as your question about Artbeats... they're considerably MORE expensive... I'd like to have some of those at my disposal, but $500 for a couple CDs freaks me out when you can get a professional mic or something else MORE usable for the money. If I DID get some I'd want the FIRE volumes... The other thing about some of these "effects" CDs is that technology and Moore's Law make them seem higher $$$ every 6 months. You'll get one of these volumes for $500 and then a few months later your special effects that made you so proud now look shameful. Digital Juice JB's are less likely to do that to you if you use 'em properly. Artbeats disks are more for things that are meant to be obvious. So really these two companies are offering completely different products... |
Thanks for taking the time to share that with me. It helps to hear from someone who uses the products. That is the ultimate test.
|
You may want to check the license agreement. Their Backtraxx volumes royalty free music license is not transferable. I ran into this when bidding on E-Bay for used volumes. Hope that's not the same for the video volumes.

Is it pal or NTSC?
|
NTSC, unfortunately the GS100 was never released outside of Japan.

very motivated to sell, gimme an offer :-)

NEEDED! : Century Optics MARK II
I have a Canon GL1 and I need a Century Optics Mark II .3x semi-fisheye lens. I am willing to buy either the 58mm threaded screw-in version, but I would really prefer the bayonet style (specific for the GL1 and GL2). Please email me if you have one available, I am looking for one cheaper than retail obviously. I need one for my skateboarding film, and have a Raynox .3x, but am looking for the Century precision and style. So trades, offers, requests, whatever... just post em or email me asap please.

great cam guys ive used it
take up the offer if youre in the market for an entry level 3ccd camera |
FS (or trade?): Portabrace POL-A Polar Bear Camera Case
Made in 1999 according to tag. I got it as part of a used XL1 package and since I'm not much of a mountaineer and don't live in Alaska, I doubt I'll be needing it.
It's in excellent shape--I can't discern any use at all, but I don't know that for sure, so let me just say that it doesn't smell (no smoke!), has no rips, there is no discoloring on edges and stress points, and the suede looks like new (except for extremely minor discoloration at fold points on the handle. No heating pads included. http://www.portabrace.com/asp/ProdDesc.asp?DescCode=POL Here's a snap of the actual unit: http://www.rosacordis.com/fs/pol-a.jpg I'd like $225 + actual shipping costs, although I'm looking for some gear that I'd be willing to trade for/towards (I'm willing to throw in some cold, hard cash): 1. A low/midrange tripod that can hold an XL1 2. a self contained small, inexpensive light kit (ala the JTL TL-1500) 3. TFT after market monitor (again, for the XL1) Any questions? Feel free to email or post. Put "portabrace" in the subject line to avoid my overzealous spam filter if emailing, please. Thank you! |
"Aquarium PC II" for sale - one of a kind custom PC
I had to build a new silent PC for audio recording, and unfortunately can’t afford to keep my beloved “Aquarium PC”. I have rebuilt it as “The Aquarium PC II” and need to find a good home for it. If you know of anyone that would be interested in purchasing a one-of-kind machine, please let me know. I would prefer someone local (Greensboro, NC USA) though I can ship for $150-$200 depending on location, insurance.
They also should value all the long hours of labor that have gone in to it as well as being comfortable opening up a computer case. I have prepared a full web page with pictures, video and specs at http://www.sharkpc.com |
Same camera with a bit less hours going for $3550 right now and the auction isn't over yet.

Stephen, that may possibly be the coolest case I've ever seen.
Guys, this is worth looking at just to see what a man can do with a little free time. Well, possibly a lot of free time. :D |
