FLASH SALE. You can get both of these batteries together for $90CAD! I just got a SWIT S-8U93 to replace both the older SWIT and Switronix and I need to get rid of my pigtail batteries. Flash sale ends Monday September 21st. LOCAL VANCOUVERITES ONLY. You have to be able to meet at a Skytrain station. CASH ONLY.
For Sale: 1 SWIT S-8U62 14.4V BP-U battery. Purchased December 2011 from Genesis Matrix. (now Fusion Cine) It should retain a decent charge of around 15% over half of it's original capacity. I hear the FS7 can use this battery via the pigtail if the wire is positioned just right, so if you need a backup battery or a onboard light battery, this should do. Works great with the older EX1, EX3 and EX1R cameras too. Has slight damage on the connector but it doesn't affect the connection. Original Price was around $200. Price on it's own is $40. (considering the capacity it still has) 1 AS IS electrically functioning Switronix EX-L96UD 96Wh BP-U battery. Purchased in 2013 from ProVision with one warranty service for a dead BMS. (Battery Management System) This battery is provided AS IS. An accident knocked the casing open and the plastic had to be re-glued and re-welded shut. This battery is NOT RECOMMENDED for handheld or field use, only stationary/low motion use where wall power is not readily available. I've had no issues being gentle while going handheld with it so far, but that does not mean the same will apply for you, so exercise caution. It also has issues with the pigtail detection (which is common for this battery series) and thus, if used to power a PMW-200 directly with the pigtail plugged into the battery, will be incredibly unreliable with the loose connector not sitting flush on the battery itself and would only be reliable for use with the pigtail in the DC-IN on older XDCAM EX cameras or the FS7. (Makes a great FS7 companion!) The same pigtail detection issue will affect charging, so double check if the battery detects the pigtail, or your BC-U1 will blink an error at you. Have the cable in the orientation illustrated in the 4th picture if you wish to charge this battery using a BC-U1 or similar BP-U charger. Other than these issues, the electrics of the battery are perfectly functioning. Original Price +$250CAD, I'm offering for $70CAD on it's own. Both will come with their original packaging and manuals. The D-tap cover is included in the box for the S-8U62. I will be unavailable the 23rd to the 28th of this month if you wish to purchase these. If you only inquire about a single battery, you unfortunately will not get the flash sale price as that is a bundle deal. I'll negotiate for the bundle pricing only during the flash sale period. After the flash sale period concludes, bundle price is $100CAD FIRM. Once again, please understand that you accept the risk of buying an AS IS battery when you buy the EX-L96UD. If you are careful with handling and operation, I'm sure it will find a good fit into your workflow. Both batteries are electrically functioning, just the Switronix needs more TLC.
