WTB:Birns & Sawyer Shoulder Support

If someone has a Birns & Sawyer Shoulder Support - for Canon XL camera's I'm very interested in purchasing one, and would rather pay a bit less for a used one.

Tim Snyder November 20th, 2007 04:30 PM

Anyone interested?

Tom:

People should know that if they have 6, they can upgrade to 8 for about $250.00 more, so it might be a cheaper way to go !

FS in US: ITC Fluid Head and Tripod

This is a true fluid head and single-stage tripod. It is a very rugged setup and the head has very smooth movement. It will need a pan bar, and has a lot of cosmetic wear, but other than that is ready to go. The head will balance a camera up to about 35lbs and has variable tilt and pan drag. It also has a Sony quick-release plate, which can be removed. Here are pics:

Asking $300. It's seen some use, but I think a great value for a true fluid head. Feel free to email me at peterdrichardson at mac dot com with inquiries. Buyer pays shipping from Portland, OR.

Just found this. The original description OConnor provided for the head:

Description

These heads are full-featured, lightweight, and compact. Perfect for DVCam, DVCPro, and other smaller format 3-CCD camcorders.

The Ultimate DV fluid head offers the same features as the award-winning 2575C fluid head in a compact, lightweight package ideal for DVCam / DVCPro camcorder users. A patented pan & tilt fluid drag system generates more true-fluid drag than many larger fluid heads, yet is infinitely and repeatably adjustable down to a 'zero' setting necessary for stable 'whip' movements. Counterbalancing is also infinitely adjustable, which enables 'tuning' of the head to precisely neutralize the camcorder's weight throughout the entire tilt range. No competing support products of any size can match the Ultimate DV features and level of performance for DVCam / DVCPro requirements.

Function should not be sacrificed or limited. These are not stripped down or de-featured versions of existing products. OConnor's DV fluid head is full-featured, and compatible with all OConnor accessories. It is designed to meet the varied requirements and expectations of demanding professionals.

The good news is that you can photoshop it out with the healing brush in about 3 seconds. The other good news is that it makes the camera cheap.

I'm not looking for a DSLR..... at this time. :-) But it might help move the sale if you could provide a picture showing the flaw (probably have to blow it up or show it at 100% pixel for pixel) and then it covered up using the technique you mentioned.

Cheers!

While you might be very firm on the price,
you would have a better chance selling if you were flexible on the price.
They go for that price on ebay with all the accessories, and no problems with the sensor.
Just a thought!

interaction with DVD Architect 1

You wouldn't happen to know if the DVD Architect version that came with Vegas 4.0 will interact with Vegas 6 do you? I'm thinking it's kind of a stand-alone, and will accept rendered files for DVD authoring no matter the source, but thought I'd ask. Yes, I'm interested. I've also told another of your offering, so I may want both copies. Thanks.
