Sony VCT-870RM or PDS PTR-990 Tripods ?
I am lookign for a cheap and light tripod for the PD150 .. I came across these two models on ebay

PTR-990 is not a genuine Sony product. I did some quick search and still couldn't find any info on the manufacturer. I guess if it has a name, that name is not known either. VCT-870RM on the other end, is a Sony product. I own one myself. It's very light, maybe too light for serious shoots. I love it, simply because I can run to the front and to the back of the church with the camera attached on it. It got a smooth head, too. If you have to get one of the two, get the VCT-870.

I never found myself a need for a bag. If you have to get it on a plane, then throw it inside any bag.
