Fireworks with Canon XA10

Finally got to use the Canon XA10 after many rainy nights in Disney.
Did not get the ideal location, but the zoom was almost good enough for full coverage.
i used manual focusing and a gain of +4...

1080p sample with 7D and 70-200 Mark 2

this was mostly taken at a fixed ISO2500 and 1/60 seconds
between f5.6 to f8.0
(not for the depth of field, but more to avoid the harsh spotlights to stage performers)

5D Mk. II with Canon 50 1.2L, Canon 85 1.2L and clips from SONY PMW-EX1

We used mainly the Canon 50 1.2L here with clips from 85 1.2L, Sony PMW-EX1.
For the snow storm, a Panasonic DMC-TS1 was used.

Z finder maybe too sharp

now i can even see the dead/stuck pixels on my canon 5dm2 LCD panel.
without the Z finder, i would not have noticed them.

lucky i do not have any inside the camera.

i can see the pixels of the LCD panel too clearly, enough to reveal all the dead and stuck pixels on...

here i tried using only f2.8 and manually adjusting focus and speeds with my weak reading eyes. focusing was a big issue with even these slow subjects.
