Which to buy Canon 100-400mm or Sigma 120-400mm

I can't decide between the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM and the Sigma 120-400mm f/4.5-5.6 DG OS HSM APO, It is $500 different in price, but is it worth it ?

I will be using it for sport...

last year same cameras same setting ( Vegas 9 ) the DVD looked as good as the HD version.

David, I actually don't see any artefacts or lines on my computer, but definitely I see it on TV especially if I do not deinterlace.

I tried the trial version of TMPGenc I didn't see that much...

David, that does not work, it actually looks the worst, you get lines all over the place, you have to deinterlace when you render the footage before you can import it to DVDA.

I have done that...

Ron, so on your project properties you choose none for Deinterlace method ? even if my footage is interlace 60I not progressive.

Ron, I am using '720X480-60i, 16:9 NTSC' in DVDA.
I'm not sure if I understand your question about progressive frame for the DVD, it's set for frame rate 29.97 and progressive NO in DVDA project...

I did try upper field first and that looked bad so I changed it to Lower Field,
I am using DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen template.
The footage is 60i so I had to deinterlace, It is not progressive...

When I used Vegas9 my DVDs looked great after resizing from 1080i to SD, I upgraded to Vegas 11 and I was never able to have the same result using the same setting.

I shoot sports using Canon A1...

Phil, when I play the file or the rendered file inside Vegas it plays fine on the preview window even if I apply effect to it, but outside Vegas the render file only plays in VLC media player with...

I have an AVI file when I render it to any format it would not show the watermark on the JPEG picture in the video when I play it outside of Vegas11, but when I drag the same rendered file back to...

John, I did that but still Vegas only plays sound but no picture from a Cineform codec .avi file.

Randall, I am trying to install it now without paying for it again, so do you think the system doesn't recognize this format if you don't have NeoScene on your computer ?

Adam thanks for the info, Mike when I put the text into Vegas it looks fine even with different Arabic font, I think it might be a Windows Vista problem.
