Thank you Shannon for the info. I spoke at length to a fellow filmmaker who owns both the H4N & the Mark 3 and he told me the only way to have seperate channels into the camera is to plug a shotgun...

Maurice,

It was a question. i want to use the ambient sound from the 90o mic of the Zoom and the wireless sound to end up as seperate tracks on the 5D mark3. This way i would avoid having to sync....

I have the 5D Mark III & the H4 Zoom: if i use the Sescom cable to connec the two then plug a wireless mic into the H4 on one channel and use the general mic of the H4 on the other channel. will have...

i think the 100B is an good upgrade from the previous model; stronger body, the scene button is better protected and other from mistake redials and other special features.

Capturing Footage shot in 24PAdv & 30P

i'm capturing my footage of my documentary and some tapes were shot 24PAdv
while most of it was shot 30P.
How can i know the formatting of my tapes if i did not write it on the tape's label?

Convert HDV?

I have footage shot in HDV w/ the canon XH G1 and i can't figure out
how to either capture it in DV into my FCP or to simply transfer it
to a DV tape via my DVX-100B camera....
