1080p is very, very close to 2K. I've projected test footage from the t2i that looked as good as 4k footage from our RED. Light it right, watch your exposure, nail the focus and make sure your script...

The shot in the frame grab looks like it was shot near dusk, so I agree it could have been a much smaller light than a 10k.

@Stelios: The hoodman 3x has a focus on the eyepiece. I use it without my glasses all the time -- works great. Note that the hoodman kit I bough used little silicone...

It's not really a matter of "better or worse". The prime will have a different look than the Tamron zoom, which is created by a combination of multiple technical factors and technique.

With...

I've received the overheat warning on multiple shoots (90+ degrees on set with extended takes, worse in direct sunlight). In my experience it does create additional noise in the video. Also, if...

XHA1 vx t2i

I have both of these cameras, and the answer is pretty simple.

No. You can't. Not really.

But there are things you can do with the A1 that you can't do with the DSLR -- like shoot all day...

I've never really found audio on the XH-A1 that rough. The only real limitation (on the XH-A1, not A1s) is the inability to record XLR to one channel, and reference audio from the camera mic to the...

I shoot everything with fairly simple camera settings (trucolor-ish). I've found a few tricks to making this look good:

1. Have enough light where it's supposed...
