Re: Converting 59.94 footage to 23.976 - Help!

It was shot at 24p on film and they encoded it to a dvcpro tape at 60p. Frame 1 is repeated 2 times, then frame 2 is repeated 3 times, and so on.

Converting 59.94 footage to 23.976 - Help!

Hi,

I have some video that was captured from a DVCPRO720 tape. It's 59.94 progressive. Unfortunately this is all that was made available to me.

I need to put this in a 23.976 timeline, but when...

How can i extract DVCPro HD tape footage?

I have to get a large amount of DVCPro HD footage off the original tapes and onto my computer for editing, something like ProRes or DNXHD would be great.

Re: C100 & Ninja 2 recording break

Couple things about the C100 with Ninja.

- If it starts going black on you during recording, call Atamos and have it sent in for a replacement, it's a defective unit. I had to do this with mine...

Re: Ninja 2 - A competent monitor alternative?

I found the color on the Ninja 2 to be a bit off. Not sure if it's supposed to be accurate or not, it seems pretty dark though compared to the image on the camera lcd.

Re: Can't Get 24p with Ninja and C100

Steve, did you make sure to wave your hand in front of the camera, or move the camera up and down so it detects pulldown?

Re: Travel equipment situation, stressing, please help.

This is an option, but i'd much rather bring everything with me on the plane if I can. Has no one had experience with this kind of set up before, or does everyone ship everything?

Re: Interview lighting kit, easy to travel with.

Neil, I hear you on that. I've shot some stuff with cheaper LEDs before, simply because I needed lighting. Right now I have a very important personal project that I need broadcast quality lighting...

Re: Sennheiser G3 Wireless - Noise/Hiss?

I bought my G3 from Amazon directly, fully packaged, all the accessories, very high build quality. It's definitely legit.

Re: Sennheiser G3 Wireless - Noise/Hiss?

I did read that post, and searched on this one. But still, did not achieve optimal results from my findings. Was hoping to find something else.

Sennheiser G3 Wireless - Noise/Hiss?

So I've been using my Sennheiser G3 kit for awhile now, with decent results on my Zoom H4N. I've been testing the Marantz PMD661 lately, and it has much much better preamps than the H4N. Using a...

Re: New LED interview lighting DVD from Vortex Media - anyone seen it?

I have to ask, what advantages do you see over litepanels vs the cheaper LEDs? Aside from the color temperature which I know can be a bit off on the cheaper LEDs.

As far as softness (or lack of)...

Re: Interview lighting kit, easy to travel with.

Alright, bringing this one back to life.

I've been experimenting with LED panels, but I'm having a hard time with how harsh the light is.
I know a few people have said buy doug jensen's tutorial....

Travel with flourescent lights?

Is it even worth looking into flourescent lighting for airplane travel, as in, checking them in a hard pelican case for example? The idea of flourescent lighting scares me a bit, but I like the look...

Re: How was this interview lit?

This piece was done by some pretty serious Hollywood types, so i'm sure it was done with an Alexa, F65, Red, or some other kind of cinema camera. I've looked for BTS information on this doc, nothing...

Re: Did older cameras have as many quirks as the new ones?

Since i've been using DSLRs primarily, i'm well used to, and have accepted the fact that I never hand hold that camera for video. It always has to be mounted on something, and that's never been a...

Did older cameras have as many quirks as the new ones?

Posted here since I can't really categorize this question.

So here it is: I've pretty much only been involved in pro video from when Video DSLRs came out. Before that I was consumer camcorders....

Can you focus soft light? I've seen the lowel pro lights, the dedolights, etc, that can be focused, but those are rather harsh sources. Even using an egg crate I do not believe it would be that...

Re: How was this interview lit?
