Steve. I've told this story a number of times, but at the c300 launch (different camera, same image), canon made the gutsy move of projecting the demo films on a 90 foot screen at the Paramount...

Seriously, I've never really noticed it... And it's hard to imagine picking it up on mics, unless the camera was close, and in the the line of sight of a sensitive shotgun.

When the C300 first came out, there were a number of posts echoing that their first images looked noisy. Primarily this was being caused by using any of the presets (standard rec709, cinegamma's etc)...

I'm not a Premiere guy, but I'm sure you can do it a number of ways with the tools in Premiere. Basically you are simply adjusting brightness of a clip over time using keyframes.
