Re: Glidecam 1000 pro Vs glidecam 200 hd: best choice on Canon Eos 5d

Haven't used either but I have used my Blackbird stabilizer often enough that I can highly recommend it.

Re: Improving Speed

I noticed a slight increase in speed with Lion; but I've lost the ability to "see" files on the WIndows drive (under BootCamp). I used to be able to move files from the Windows side into OSX, but...

Re: what slider should i get for my t3i? list inside.

Not everyone has a taste for the Philip Bloom Kool--Aid :)

And, anyway... wasn't Philip Bloom using an Igus-based slider when he made sliders famous shooting from the doorway/porch at Lucas Ranch?

Re: what slider should i get for my t3i? list inside.

That has not been my experience. I just wipe it with a micro-fiber cloth before I use it.

And it certainly isn't cheap... in build or price.

Re: Canon T3i and audio levels

I don't remember what version of ML it was or for which camera it was, I just remember when I went to the site the first thing I saw was a bold, upper-case disclaimer warning that ML could damage my...

Re: need stabilization help....

For a number of reasons, I personally don't even acknowledge the internal mic exists. Invest a little in a Rode VideoMic Pro and you'll be a very happy camper.

But for what it's worth, I turn off...

Re: CF cards / adaptor: works?

Never heard of anything like that for the 5D. Sorry.

Re: ok...pulled the trigger for a 5D

The audio gain is cranked down to a notch above off. When I bring in audio from my Rode VideoMic Pro or from my Sony wireless, it's crisp and clean.

To focus, I make frequent use of the on-camera...

Re: ok...pulled the trigger for a 5D

I was introduced to DSLR by the 60D. I was very impressed with the images it produces, so I went out looking for a place where I could hold a 5D in my hand and compare. It wasm't easy to do that,...

Re: To Mac or not to Mac: The Future for Mac-based editors

You don't have to buy a PC to run Sony Vegas Pro. I've got it on my MacBook Pro, running under BootCamp... the best of both worlds. I've got Vegas on there because I used to do a lot of news, and...

Re: Best Training Videos for FCX?

I looked at both, bought the Larry Jordan one... only because it's got a lot more content.

Re: Hot Girl Learning Golf - shot on 5d

Cute.

Her audio was slightly over-modulated and only on one channel, but she was hot enough to make up for that distraction :)
