My pet peeve with Thinkpad series is they still insist to have the Fn key on the bottom left, left to the Ctrl key. :/

Panasonic has a series called Toughbook. They are made for field work purpose. I don't think they sell it in the US. You can find them at Dynamism.com. But they are expensive :)

It's not that confusing. You are limited to your geographical location and what frame rate options your camera provided. If you are in the US, 30p and 24p would be a popular choice.

If you are talking about standard DVD video that is for set top DVD playback, for NTSC it has to be 720x480 with 1:1.2 pixel aspect ratio.

I upgraded my two T3i to two 6D. I love it. The Moire pattern is no worst than 5D mark 2 but with super low light performance. Price is good too.
