Re: Where have all the wedding videographers gone?
I think a lower price and combination packages tick a lot of boxes too, like offering video and photo combined, or adding interviews or like I believe you do, marryoke or droneshots etc. The more you...

Re: Music Licensing basics - Help
Getting music properly licensed is like opening a can of worms, there are so many exceptions per country and you have to read the fine print or even better, let a lawyer read it for you. Everyone...

If you say you are working with Trackmusic and being paid by them, is your post intended as advertisement to get us to sign up? As far as I know this is not allowed here unless you are a sponsor. But...

Re: Music Licensing basics - Help
I wouldn't touch that music with a stick, it reminds me a bit of Songfreedom who also had some popular commercial songs in their database and promised me I was covered, but I wasn't and that was...

Re: Where have all the wedding videographers gone?
Some facebookgroups can be a bit hostile and you are right that newcomers generally are looked down upon, much has to do with the often almost complete absence of moderation and it can take quite a...

Re: Who adds shots of food in their weddingfilm?
My approach to documentary filmmaking is a bit different as the highlight film is only 20-25min long and I also deliver a 5min film for online sharing, the 25min highlight does include all details...

Re: Who adds shots of food in their weddingfilm?
I do have to take cultural difference into consideration as that seems to play a larger role in wether it is important to cover such a shot, like David said, he get's laughed at when he takes a shot...

Re: Who adds shots of food in their weddingfilm?
It is silly not to look past your own country borders, every country has it's own traditions about what people find important. I once covered a Kurdish wedding, the groom insisted that I would film...

Let's blow some life back into this weddingvideography section and ask a question, if I end up talking to myself then I guess it's time to close down this section as I"m not the only one that has...

Re: 100 ASA or 400 ASA in sunny days - video?
My guess is that a changed f-stop caused some diffraction leading to a softer image, that is what you can get if you let the camera handle exposure. Where you using a nd-filter?
Was the camera in...

Re: 100 ASA or 400 ASA in sunny days - video?
Are you sure all camera settings, except iso, where exactly the same when you did test 200 vs 400iso? 200 vs 400iso should not have any effect on the detail you see in your image, difference in...

Re: Dance Recital Video Distribution Revisited
