Oh yeah, we did all that before getting the rig. Not sure what you can do with the XL, but there's a HUGE difference using the micro35 and just manipulating the stock lens on the FX1.

Yeah, it's pegged with white diffusion. Went that way because we wanted that super sappy Hallmark kind of feel to it. Like it's a traditional Christmas commercial, really over the top on sweetness....

I can't find a pic right away, but there are adapters that will give you more than one shoe mount on your camera.

Some will attach to the current shoe, others (like the one I have) will screw into...

I've got an FX1 and GL2 that I use together often in 2 camera shoots.

The Canon is warmer and the Sony is cooler, by default. But I've matched them pretty well and really like using them...
