Re: Filmed my first wedding this weekend!
I think this is a great job, especially for the first time!
For me I look at these factors the most when judging a wedding highlights:
Overall quality of the image
Camera movement (as in is...

Re: My Second Wedding Film
Thanks! What do you mean by lens whacking?
It's funny, I still get crazy responses about those light rays on both ends. I should have my 3rd film ready soon. I really appreciate you watching.

Re: My Second Wedding Film
Thanks Nick! Glad I could help in some way. I saw you posted your first time on another thread so I will check it out. As for audio, I used a very easy & affordable option that I highly recommend....

Re: Rode Videomic Pro wire snapped
Thanks for the info. You're right, it's eligible for repair from the warranty so they gave me info to send it back. It's just a pain since I need it for a job this weekend so now I'll have to rent...

Rode Videomic Pro wire snapped
On a shoot today the small wire on my Rode Videomic Pro snapped in two near the connection with the camera (see attached picture.) What is the best way I can fix this/get this fixed, assuming it can...

Re: Bride and music
I'm real new at this too, and yes a lot has changed since the days when wedding videos were boring unwatchable videos. There's different ways you can go with the longer cut. Some just do straight...

Re: Bride and music
Personally, I edit my ceremonies with music. Even a soft, piano only track adds a lot. I find it way to boring to just have the ceremony with no track. I'm sure people do it different ways though.

Thanks everyone for watching and commenting...While that was my first wedding film, it was definitely not my first film. I've been shooting & editing since high school (and I'm 37 now), so having...

Thanks for watching & your critique...much appreciated.
As for your comment about the light streaks, I was actually going for an unreal, almost dreamlike/heavenly look for those shots..but I...

Re: If I go FF, will f2.8 be fast enough?
I shoot with a 5d3, and I even though I can go that high with ISO, I generally like to keep it 3200 or lower. Plus, I like the shallow DOF that I get with 1.4 primes. But if you use Neat Video to...

Re: If I go FF, will f2.8 be fast enough?
In my opinion, for many receptions it won't be fast enough. In my (limited) experience, I've not been able to use the 24-70 well in dark reception areas so I use the 24, 35 or 50 1.4 instead. The 50...
