Re: Multi-Camera Edit in CS 5.5 and Neo 5.5.1.323

I don't have CS5.5, but there is the same problem in 5.0. The Cineform renderer can't deal with multicam. There is a simple solution, though.

Re: What paper do you use for your DVD covers?

I also use Jewelboxing cases. They are great. Their pre-perforated paper was a real timesaver, but the shipping costs to Europe from Chicago are a bit steep. I now buy the Jewelboxing cases locally,...

Re: Adobe Dynamic Link & Widescreen DVD

When you say "letterboxed", do you mean that there are black pillars on the left and right of the screen? If so, how wide are the black pillars? Is the image distorted, i.e. does it look stretched?...

Re: How do you do this edit?

It's cute effect. My guess as to how - the shot was filmed very wide, so that both seating positions are in frame. Tha camera is locked off for the two takes. Then it's just a matter of splitting...

Re: Acquisition from Canon XHA1s

You could try some things in the device manager of your PC:

1. In the Device manager, find the IEEE 1394 controller, and uninstall it. The reboot and let windows reinstall it.

2. Try...

Re: Help! First DSLR wedding - SDHC card won't transfer file

That's scary! First be sure not to write to the card at all. Try another card reader, just to eliminate the possibility of a faulty reader.

If that doen't help, I suggest you try some software...

Re: Progressive or Interlaced??

Frank, I think if you look at your footage in a monitor, you will be relieved. The image in the LCD shows very exaggerated stutter and posterization at 24 or 25p.

I think an easier way to think about it is to see that that the shape of the HD and SD widescreen rectangles are a little different. HD really is 16:9, but SD is a little wider. Thus, when you...

I second the dropout theory. It happens with my XHA1 about once every other tape. As I recall, CS4 would put in some red frames when it detected a dropout - you couldn't miss that! CS5 seems to...
