Re: Transcoding t3i footage in Premiere Pro CS5?
I understood Premeire now uses all cuda cores so you would think more is always faster yet to me it's still unclear what exactly gives premiere a performance boost, f.i. in the ppbm5 test there is a...

Re: Transcoding t3i footage in Premiere Pro CS5?
When you look at the ppbm5 test results all top performers have been heavily overclocked and use minimum 24gb of memory and raid, sure all those users might confirm what Adobe is advertising. Maybe...

Re: Shooting weddings with small handicams
the cx730 has a light build right in and it spreads very equally, but it is quite sharp to look at, from a short distance you can't look at it for sure, like I said, only if there is no other option...

Re: Anyone using C300 for Weddings?
You could give Joe Simon a shoebox to film and his demo's will still look great :) I feel it's not the camera that will attract more clients, it's the skill of the guy behind it. You can get...

Re: Anyone using C300 for Weddings?
I would expect punchier colors from a 5dIII as well but I think the vimeo compression doesn't do the footage any good, where I see the most difference is in softer vs sharper images where i"d expect...

Re: Transcoding t3i footage in Premiere Pro CS5?
I think many user mistake mercury playback engine to accelerate anything, it doesn't. Playback on your timeline is still cpu dependable, something which you see the most when fast scrolling the...

Re: Shooting weddings with small handicams
People often choose a venue because of it's "atmosphere" and that always translates into dark places here, just like that place I mentioned with candlelight only. There is a reason why canon 5dIII...

Re: Shooting weddings with small handicams
The reason why I find a low light capable camera so important for weddings is that for the first time in years I have been able to capture footage I never could have done before, I always used a...

Re: Shooting weddings with small handicams
Where the parts in church filmed in 50P? I just ask because I see interlacing "artifacts" at 01:20 when you zoomed out and a bit later as well? I haven't tried the 50P option out yet as my NLE (an...

Re: Shooting weddings with small handicams
Actually, that's one of the things I worry about the most, if you do weddings fulltime, camera's that perform well under lowlight are just essential. Most of the time I need to work with what I have...

That's a great setup you have Colin, that"s what I"d call a multifunctional rig and still compact enough. I"m looking at an even smaller set up as I need to be able to move quickly and take all my...

Re: One Summer Evening with the FS700
Without having a fx700 I would say it will be MUCH better, all twixtor slowed down 50 or 60p footage I have seen produces some weird morphing artefacts that you won't get with the fs700.

My experience is just he opposite, you are providing a service to the same kind of clients and video/stills can complement each other and gain a lot more bookings if both are equally good. If you...

Re: Shooting weddings with small handicams
Thx Rickey for the pictures! I see you have a beachtek, does that work well with the cx550? First I wanted to get a extra xa10 but for a lot cheaper I could attach a Beachtek DXA-5DA to a second...
