Re: Shooting weddings with small handicams

Re: Canon xa10 setting exposure

Thx for the replies so far, good to know that the exposure can be controlled outside the camera with a physical button, even it is is a bit fiddly. If that was only possible through the lcd menu the...

Re: Canon xa10 setting exposure

Thanks for the response! So If I get you right, the ring on the lens only controls focus, you can't assign exposure to it? is it then only possible to adjust exposure through the lcd screen?

Also,...

Canon xa10 setting exposure

For those xa10 owners, as I understand the ring on the lens is only for setting focus? or is it assignable to setting exposure, shutter etc?

Re: Shooting weddings with small handicams

Do I understand you right that you do video and photo at the same time?

I agree that you don't NEED sliders and/or steadycam or even dslr with very shallow dof to make a compelling wedding...

Re: Shooting weddings with small handicams

One reason why I want to get smaller camera's is that I"m getting tired dragging around the bigger camera all day (if you regard a xh-a1 big but I guess it is compared to a handycam) so I can carry...

Re: Shooting my first wedding next weekend

For the ceremony I wouldn't try anything fancy like shallow dof, shoot with a wider dof, lock your camera's onto a tripod, choose your frame and let them roll. place one on the right and one on the...

Re: Shooting weddings with small handicams

About the ND filters, it's not that if the camera asks for it that you have to switch immediately, it's just telling you it's getting in too much light and that the iris is at a value which is not...

Re: Shooting weddings with small handicams

Working solo with 2 or 3 camera's is always a risk, that's why a camera with very good auto functions is almost a must, there are some times where you have no other choice then to let the unmanned...

Re: Shooting weddings with small handicams

For the canon xa10 owners;

It does have a lens ring for focus adjustments, what I only cannot see is how you adjust exposure? Both focus and exposure are 2 functions I like to be able to control...
